Join CJ’s Off the Square at the Gift Back Gala
It has been quite a week here in Franklin as our community begins to recover from the devastating floods. We were so blessed here at CJ’s to be spared from severe damage but there are many people who have lost everything.
But there is good news! Our open house has been rescheduled and totally revamped as a very special opportunity for all of us to help those families who are in need.
Please join us for The Gift Back Gala!
Here’s the scoop: Come to CJ’s Off the Square this Thursday, May 13th anytime between 6-9 pm and bring any item from your gift registry or a Target, Home Depot or Lowe’s gift card and join in the celebration of generosity that is spreading throughout Middle Tennessee. Pretend you are going to a wedding…but instead of bringing a gift for the happy couple, you will be bringing a gift for a family in need who will be very happy to receive these basic household necessities.
Who says re-gifting is tacky? This is an easy way to “gift back” to families who have lost so much. And who really needs three toasters anyway?
Don’t have a gift registry? Bring a gift card! Your gift will mean so much to so many!
Complimentary valet parking will be provided and all of the fabulous food, drinks and décor you have come to expect from CJ’s Off the Square will be ready and waiting. There is no better way to celebrate our 5th Anniversary and the grand opening of our new event pavilion than “gifting” back to the community that is such an important part of what we are. I do hope you can join us for this very special evening and help our community recover. See you Thursday!
Sincerely,
CJ Dickson, Owner

Vintage Glam in Red, Black and White: Top Wedding Trend of 2010

TheKnot.com just released thier wedding trend predictions for 2010. Topping the list, vintage glamour from the 50′s and 60′. I immediately thought of this stunning wedding designed by Williamson County Weddings’ principal planner Amy Parman last fall in Nashville, TN.

Originally planned to be an outdoor wedding on a roof top balcony overlooking downtown Nashville, rain forced everyone indoors. The WCW crew quickly re-worked the reception space to accomodate the ceremony guests inside so niether our couple nor thier guests had to worry about a thing.
Tip: Whan planning an outdoor ceremony or reception (or both!) always have a rain plan. Ask yourself and your venue what they would do in case of a sudden rain shower and make sure you are 100% confident in the answer so that if it should sprinkle or downpour, you are mentally prepared for plan B.

I definitely knew Amy and her clients, Laura & Jim were fashion forward, but who knew they would be setting the tone for 2010′s wedding style!

While you can see the vintage glam in the colors and details, you will just have to imagine the big band playing the background. Thanks to the Blue Tones, this wedding was swinging well into the evening for a celebration that we will always remember.

April + Tim | June 27 | A Bright, Bold Outdoor Wedding at The Hermitage
Williamson County Weddings & Events had a blast working with April & Tim to create a beautiful wedding and outdoor reception at The Hermitage, home of Andrew Jackson on June 27th, 2009. Despite the record-breaking heat that weekend, their big day turned out beautifully, especially surrounded by their friends and family who so clearly adored them. A HUGE thank you to Mark & Noelle at McCoy Photo Duo (formerly McCoy Studio) for sharing these amazing pictures with us!

April & Tim LOVE orange and used lots of orange details to bring a bold and bright look to thier summer garden wedding.

The ceremony was held in the historic church on the grounds of the Hermitage. A charming backdrop for Nashville Nuptials.

April looked stunning on her wedding day. The gardens at the Hermitage were in full bloom and the bright orange parasol was a sweet detail we added at the last minute.

Caprice at the Encanted Florist outdid herself on this bouquet of peonies, roses, orchids and calla lilies. LOVE IT!!!

Work the summer suit boys!

Program fans (shown above center) are perfect for a summer garden wedding. We used a custom monogram with mocha ink on ecru paper and finished it off with an orange ribbon. We were all glad to have these on the wedding day as we had record breaking tempratures and needed all the help we could get to keep cool!

Congratulations April & Tim!
